Hailing from a family farm and facility where organic coconuts and virgin coconut oil have been produced for over three generations, Charisa and Carmina grew up not only using coconut oil as a culinary staple but also using coconut oil as food and medicine for themselves and their pets, where they saw firsthand how it benefited them.
They created CocoTherapy for pets in 2009, after their dog, Violet, developed severe allergies to seemingly everything. Charisa & Carmina received their certification in Companion Animal Nutrition from the University of IL and made it their mission to create the cleanest, health-giving treats, made with organic ingredients.
